The Whistling Frog Holiday Park in the Catlins has been rated first class by the thousands of visitors we host each year.

Stay in touch - we even have Site Wifi !

In constructing this Catlins Holiday Park we have used recycled buildings where ever possible, most built in the 1960’s and 1970’s.

The Kiwiana two person cabins were built in the South Island and used to house the single men who built the many dams along the Clutha River. They were used at Borland Lodge Youth Adventure Camp for many years and were to be scrapped. We purchased them and have restored and enhanced them to be used for your enjoyment, with a little twist of nostalgia and additional comfort way beyond what was experienced by the workers!

The ablution block comes from the Karitane Motor Camp near Dunedin and the common room was rescued from an old house near Wyndham.

The motel block was saved from the Luxmore Hotel in TeAnau. The bunkhouse is a school building from Southern Institute of Technology in Invercargill.
